Can I scan my own negatives?

Yes!  Scanning your own negatives is a cost effective way to put your work on your computer.  You can get your negatives processed without getting prints made for less than a dollar usually, and then take them home and scan them.  If you buy a scanner for about $100, it will pretty much pay for itself 10 rolls of film later.

You can also process your own film in your bathroom and then scan them.  It’s not the same as having a real darkroom, but if you don’t have the space/money/time to have a full darkroom just processing alone should make you giddy.
