And remember that you can always ask me anything that you need to know! If I don’t know the answer, I will do my best to find it for you and see what my other followers have to say.
I’m also considering starting some sort of project. Maybe a (more organized than in the past) film swap, or a few traveling disposable cameras, a print swap, a photo walk/meet-up, or I’ve been seriously considering starting a zine. (Are zines still cool? I’m not very hip so I don’t know these things.) Let me know what you guys would like to see from me and Film is God in the future.
Disclaimer: I don’t hate digital photography. Of course it has it’s place.
I am just baffled by some digital photographers (mostly amateur) that go out and buy the most expensive new digital camera and gear, and then they still photoshop the shit out of their pictures. Add bokeh, change the dof, change the colours and saturation completely, etc. (I also don’t hate photoshop, I just don’t get why you need such an expensive camera when you’re just going to change the photos anyway.) There are some people that shoot film that are guilty of this too, though I find that most film shooters tend to be purists/old fashioned when it comes to photo manipulation.
I don’t know, I just think it’s more fun to change up the film or the camera your using to get different effects.
